日本やアジア各地でのフィールドワークを展開し、

風土や人々の営み、暮らしの中で育まれてきた表現を探究、作品を立ち上げる。

 

長い年月をかけ、その土地でのリサーチや人々との交流をもとに創作した「いのちのめぐり」（2022 山形)、

場所や人々の記憶、自身の10年にわたる旅をもとに創作した「暮らしのあやとり」（2025 兵庫、千葉）など。

 

文化庁新進芸術家海外研修制度にてインドネシア、ジョグジャカルタ滞在予定（FY2026)

国や文化、分野を超えた協働と、さまざまな人が集う「場」づくりに関心を持つ。

Founder of HANAICHI
Director / Performer / Fieldworker

Monami Kikuchi conducts fieldwork across Japan and various parts of Asia, exploring forms of expression nurtured through local climates, communities, and everyday life, and creating performance works rooted in these encounters.​

Her major works include Cycle of Life (Yamagata, 2022), developed through many years of research and exchange with local communities, and Threads of Living (Hyogo & Chiba, 2025), inspired by places and people’s memories as well as her own decade-long journeys.​

She will be based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, as a Fellow of the Agency for Cultural Affairs’ Program of Overseas Study for Upcoming Artists (FY2026). Her practice centers on cross-cultural and interdisciplinary collaboration, as well as creating spaces where diverse people can gather and connect.
